It diverged from merge-o-matic a couple of years ago, and by now there's
more of our code than remaining code from merge-o-matic; so it seems
best to admit that it became an independent project long ago, and
give it its own name.

This slightly contrived name lets us keep the "mom" acronym, which is
used in many configuration files etc., and a rich source of puns
for en_US speakers.
