Improve documentation
This branch improves the documentation to add the bits I wish I'd known when I started experimenting with these containers (in a minimal Debian sid VM, so YMMV on bare-metal systems).
There's also one functional change:
update-obs-binaries: Fail on failing commands or undefined variables
These are commonly-used "make bash a less horrible programming language"
options.
